Brian Greene opens the world of string theory, quantam mechanics and general relativity to the general public. He argues string theory mainly and tells the effects of time, space and light on our universe. The book is written for people who are interested in physics but don't really know a whole lot about the subject. The book feels like you are opening a treasure chest of secrets that only a handful of people know. In short if you are interested in physics at all read this book.

I am America and so can you is a great book for any follow the late night show "The Colbert Report" or anyone who likes political comedy. Stephen Colbert uses his sharp very sarcastic alter ego to write this book. A self proclaimed democrat he takes on his republican tv persona to take on the issues of America ranging from class to education. This book is best served for people 14 or older but for only smart 14 year olds who watch the Colbert Report or else they probably would not get any of the humour.

Bear Grylls follows his success with "The kid who climbed Everest" with another book of similar tales. Bear Grylls leads a team of 5 including him across the harsh North Atlantic. Facing huge waves and horrendus weather conditions, it is a literary nail biter that will not let you put down this book. The build up to the story is told in great detail and Pictures only helps to give you an idea of the conditions they faced.

Would you stay in Newfoundland if you were in Bear Grylls position, knowing that there is a good chance bad weather is ahead?
Would you throw the charm off the front of the boat?

J.R.R Tolkien's second installment of the incrediblly popular Lord of the Rings series is the Two Towers. The story follows the break up of the fellowship, book three follows the fellowship not including Frodo and Sam and book four follows Frodo and Sam. This book lives up to the series quota with great action and a great story. A book you must read by the end of your life.

Man vs Wild is a wonderful book for those who wish to brace the harsh wilderness of then unkown, to venture into mysterious paths. The book teaches you how to survive in 4 different regions and to keep your mind stable in any situation. Man vs Wild is a fantastic book for any who go camping or live on the edge.
I rate this book 5 nolans out of 5
because it delivers exactly what it promises
Would you trust your life with these survival tips if you were in one of these situations?
Man vs Wild or Survivorman?

Don Cherry's HS&S is a tale for which red blooded canadians will thouroughly enjoy. Don Cherry divulges his life mainly about coaching and hockey and HNIC but the book is suffers from poor writing and confusing names. However he states this in the prologue that it is just him talking and a guy writing so you don feel like your just sitting down and having a chat and a couple of "pops" (beers) with Don Cherry.
I rate this book 2 1/2 nolans out of 5
Do you agree with Don Cherry's stance on fighting in the nhl?
Do you feel he should have stayed on as coach of the Bruins?

Jarhead: a marine's chronicle of the gulf war and other battles is a fascinating memoir about Anthony Swofford. The story jumps from his duty in the gulf war as a sniper to his troubles at home, Jarhead feels very authentic as you read it almost like you are there when the characters are in the real situations they get in. Jarhead is a book i would recommend for readers above 15, due to its graphic nature and language. But you will find yourself sympathizing with Anthony and his comrades in this long, pointless war.

Do you sympathize with all the members of STA 2/7 or just the Anthony?

Do you feel Anthony should have fired that shot and not be interupted by that captain?
